About Us

Welcome to Hollis Threads! We are a mother (Shari) and daughter (Jennifer) team sharing the fabrics and quilts we love with other quilters.

Shari - I grew up watching my mother and grandmother making clothes for our family.  They taught me to sew at a young age, but it took a while for me to let that become my own hobby.  After raising 2 children, I've returned to quilting and have found my passion!

​Jennifer - When I was young I learned to quilt with my Granny.  We embroidered and sewed together.  One of the first quilts I made was a denim quilt. Over the years I have collected denim jeans and decided that it was finally time to make my first quilt all on my own.  While working on this quilt I found my love for quilting.  I haven't looked back since.

​One of our favorite parts of quilting is picking fabrics and finding just the right combinations. We are excited to share our fabric combinations and finds with you!

Here is one of our denim quilts. We recycle old denim and then pair it with a fun piece of fabric to give it some character. The denim quilts are perfect for everyday use but they have a special place outdoors and they are great for picnics, camping, watching fireworks, concerts, and any other outdoor activity.
