Custom Sneakers!

Service Description

Become a fashion designer and create a custom pair of sneakers. You will leave this class with a pair of shoes that no one else has! Learn to: Create your own pair of sneakers complete with binding, padding, shoe laces, grommets and sewn soles. Supplies to bring: Minimum 1/3 yd quilted sandwich using Soft & Stable or Bosal in R Form. If you plan to fussy cut or wear larger than a 9.5 US (41EU) size you will need 1/2 yd quilted sandwich 2 yds precut and ironed bias binding cut a 1.75" wide; folded in half, wrong sides together. Stiletto Scissors, paper & fabric Clips or pins for sewing binding Fabric marking pen or pencil Fray Check Sewing Machine Matching thread for binding Thimble Strong push pins Hand sewing needle Please select shoe size and color of shoe sole, white, black, or what they call natural. I would call it gum or bamboo. US EU 6 36 6.5/7 37 7.5 38 8/8.5 39 9 40 9.5 41 10 42 11 43 11.5 44 Homework: Prequilt at least 1/3 yd fabric prior to class using either Soft & Stable or Bosal In R Form. If you wear an EU size 41 or larger, you should increase the prequilted size to 1/2 yd. Precut and prepare ALL fabrics as noted above. There will NOT be time to cut in class. We will call you to get your shoes size and color. You can order an additional pair of shoes for $65 each. The participation cutoff for this class is April 22, 2025 so that we can get your shoes ordered in time. Once soles have been ordered there is no refund.
